● 海水浴场( Coastal Bathing Places)

2003年4月24日－10月8日对东山马銮湾、厦门黄厝、平潭龙王头海水浴场重点实施了环境监测和开展环境质量综合评价，并在中央电视台、福建电视台、厦门电视台以及其他新闻媒体发布。海水浴场水质状况良好，符合清洁海域水质标准，适宜游泳、休闲娱乐，与2002年同期相比水质有所回升。

Environmental Monitoring and environmental integrated assessment were emphatically implemented in the coastal bathing places in Dongshan’s Maluan Gulf, Huangcuo village in Xiamen, Longwangtou in Pingtan Island, from April 24^th to October 8^th, 2003. It was broadcasted by CCTV, FJTV, Xiamen TV Station and some other news media. The water quality in the coastal bathing places was good and has increased compared with the same period in 2002, according with the standard of clean seawater, which is suitable for swimming and recreation.

● 贝类监控区(Seashell’s motoring and controlling zones)

2003年，首次在云霄县和平潭县浅海滩涂贝类养殖水域设置了贝类监控区，对云霄县浅海滩涂养殖的巴菲蛤和平潭县浅海滩涂养殖的菲律宾蛤仔的水质、沉积物、贝类等30多个参数开展了监测和评价（见表6）。

It was the first time to set up the seashell’s monitoring and controlling zones in shallow sea’s tidal-flat of both Yunxiao County and Pingtan County, where monitoring and assessment of more than 30 indexes of Paphia alapapilionis and Ruditapes philippinesis in Yunxiao County’s and Pingtan County’s shallow sea’s tidal-flat respectively (e.g. water quality, sediment, seashells, etc)，was carried out.( see table 6)
